1st ANNUAL WARRIORS 4 PEACE TENNIS TOURNAMENT AT BROAD RIPPLE PARK

July 10th, 2021

On Saturday July 10th, we held the first Warriors for Peace Tennis Tournament. In the initial year, it was organized to be a fun with a little league atmosphere. We see it as an event that can grow and engage families in our mission.

The first year was great success with 16 entrants. Congratulations to the champion Danny Pruitt (defeating Susie Winternheimer in the championship match), who played great tennis all day. A special thanks to everyone who helped in organizing the event and the participants!

We are excited to continue to expand the event in the future! ️

BROAD RIPPLE PARK CLEAN UP &
JACK'S 25TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AT BLIND OWL BREWERY

April 25th, 2021

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, the Warriors for Peace celebrated Jack Shockley’s twenty-fifth birthday. The day began at 8:00 at Christ the King Catholic Church, where Father Todd said the Mass, which was offered in Jack’s memory. After Mass, the Warriors served the community by cleaning up a stretch of roadside at Broad Ripple Park, near the tennis courts where Jack played so often. That afternoon, we celebrated Jack’s birthday with food and drink and friendship at the Blind Owl Brewery. It was an almost perfect day. Though we missed Jack’s physical presence and good humor, we felt his spirit with us the entire day. Happy 25th Birthday, Jack!
